Leaves Beat, Wings Rustle Aquatint

This inspiring artwork is an invitation to reflect on the interconnectivity of the universe. The techniques employed in its printmaking are etching and aquatint, both using chemicals to contain ink inside specific areas and lines of a metal plate and later transfer them on the Somerset Rag (100% cotton paper). This implies that the graceful trees, as well as the other inked elements, outline and hence "allow" for the birds to rise up towards the sky.
