In the middle of Italy, in Marche region, stands a hotel that has been conceived specially for architects, designers but also simply design enthusiasts. In the historic Villa Gabrielli in Tolentino, once the site of Nazareno Gabrielli and Poltrona Frau companies, is located Interno Marche. The project was intended as an homage to entrepreneur Franco Moschini, current president of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna. Moschini has played a pivotal role in the worldwide diffusion of Italian-made design, especially through firms like Poltrona Frau, Cassina, Zanotta and GTV, obviously. The brand-new hotel is a true celebration of the most iconic profiles that have made the history of design, all connected by a fil rouge whose name is: Thonet. Step into a universe of timeless beauty, by wandering around this hotel that showcases the best of the international design scene, spanning past and contemporary creations produced by the world-famous Viennese brand.

The 20th-century Villa Gabrielli, in its origins a leather goods factory, has been converted into a sophisticated place where selected furnishings create almost a museum-like environment. Inside Interno Marche, a welcoming spirit blends with luxurious decoration, all embedded in picturesque Marche hills. Gebrüder Thonet Vienna is one of the key players in the hotel’s furniture, alongside important iconic pieces signed by Gae Aulenti, Achille Castiglioni, Michele de Lucchi and others who collaborated with the brand.

Behind each door, the vision changes, from minimalist to radical, from futurist to pop.

What’s brilliant about this hotel is that each guestroom is dedicated to one designer specifically – or a particularly important historical period. So, each stay is an immersive experience into the creativeness of one, or multiple, visionary mind. As you step into the room named for Vico Magistretti, for instance, Magistretti 03 01 chair produced by GTV shines in its vibrant red version, matching with the iconic Eclisse lamp positioned on the bedside table.

In the room dedicated to Michael Anastassiades, instead, the n. 200 armchair designed by the contemporary London-based artist for the Austrian firm stands as main character in such an elegant and fancy atmosphere, lightened by innovative lamps also designed by Anastassiades of course. In the Michele de Lucchi room, the Radetzky chair is a delicate yet strong presence that dialogues perfectly with the rest of the furnishings designed by the legendary architect.

At Interno every step is guided by passion and curiosity towards the fascinating world of design. What in the rooms looks like a monographic exhibition, in the hotel’s common spaces becomes a spectacular symbiosis of different styles. With the aim of connecting past and present creations, in these areas tradition and contemporaneity not only meet, but also merge with one another.

In the lobby, Loïe lounge chairs by Chiara Andreatti and Targa sofas and armchairs by GamFratesi, invite guests to take a break and relax, while surrounded by a graceful and pleasant environment. Wiener Box side tables by Cristian Mohaded fill the space, giving a touch of glamour to your breakfast in the morning. Curved lines, soft colors and wood furnishings function as prevailing tools to set relaxing yet tasteful interiors.
