Nestled in the heart of West Hollywood on Melrose Ave., ALBA is the West Coast counterpart to New York’s beloved Cucina Alba. Designed to evoke an irresistible ‘holiday’ state of mind, ALBA draws inspiration from the founders’ travels through Italy, celebrating the warmth of the Italian people and their everlasting joyful approach to life. In this restaurant, where the idyllic Dolce Far Niente intertwines with the breezy, laid-back allure of Los Angeles, the beauty of life in its simplest form is celebrated at every corner. From the interior design, adorned with curated pieces from Artemest, to the menu, guests are enveloped in a lively, captivating atmosphere that will make their experience truly unforgettable.

ALBA’s design, envisioned by the renowned GRT Architects, effortlessly merges the timeless allure of the Italian coast with California’s dynamic energy, crafting a space that is both sophisticated and playful. The 10,000 square foot space blurs the line between indoor and outdoor, taking full advantage of Los Angeles’ temperate climate. The main dining room, with seating for 120 guests, is defined by blonde wood, pastel banquettes, and wooden trellises overlaid with floral vines.

A retractable yellow-and-white striped roof opens to the night sky, enhancing the romantic, airy ambiance. Artworks curated in partnership with Artemest add to the restaurant’s breezy, convivial spirit. Stunning sculptures by the talented Artemest artisans Stefania Boemi and Daniele Fortuna enhance ALBA's ambiance, infusing it with the unmistakable elegance of Italian craftsmanship, seamlessly blended with a touch of modernity. Siru Illuminazione’s lighting solutions add a sophisticated retro-chic flair, casting a cinematic glow throughout the dining room.

ALBA's interior design also pays homage to its New York counterpart, Cucina Alba, with nods to white oak paneling, ivory leather, and a luxurious velvet-upholstered ceiling, evoking a warm and inviting atmosphere. Upstairs, the mood softens with a series of intimate, carpeted rooms, including a windowless bar with a smokey-mirrored ceiling and a glossy burgundy private event space overlooking the courtyard. This area echoes the back-room glamour of Alba Accanto, designed by GRT Architects next door to Cucina Alba in New York.

At ALBA, guests are invited to indulge in the extraordinary cuisine of Executive Chef Adam Leonti, whose innovative approach to authentic Italian food at Cucina Alba has redefined the culinary landscape in New York. Through his creative interpretations of Italian classics, Leonti evokes the spirit of an Italian holiday, seamlessly blending seasonal California ingredients with timeless flavors.
