Tatillo e Pizzicato Asini Blue Sculptures

This charming sculptures of two donkeys, father and son, are from the remarkable Bestiario GMO Collection of pieces inspired by the animal world. Tatillo and Pizzicato symbolize in the Neapolitan popular culture the hard worker father and the squanderer son. Both items are crafted of blue-enameled white grès with gray hooves. The head is an old hammer and the mane is made of old nails. Tatillo, the father donkey, is recognizable for the two baskets on each side made of repurposed metal strainers.
