Byzas Bas-Relief by Elena Salmistraro

Recalling ancient Byzantine history and art, this delicate bas-relief is part of the Bisanzio Collection. It is fashioned of white Carrara marble and adorned with hexagons in polished pink marble, rhombuses in pietra pece stone with a honed finish, and satin-finished copper strips. This stunning decoration evokes ancient times, as Byzas is the son of Poseidon in Greek mythology and founder of ancient Byzantium.
