How did you first become involved in the world of design? Tell us your story.

Will Meyer and Gray Davis share a deep appreciation for timeless aesthetics rooted in storytelling and a profound sense of place. Both Tennessee natives, they pursued architecture and trained under industry luminaries such as Charles Gwathmey at Gwathmey Siegel, Bobby McAlpine, John Saladino, and Thomas O'Brien at Aero Studios. United by a vision to create spaces that seamlessly blend sophistication, innovation, and narrative, they founded Meyer Davis Studio in 1999.

When designing a room, what is the most crucial aspect for you? Talk us through your design process.

At Meyer Davis, we design spaces that go beyond aesthetics to create meaningful experiences. Our approach considers not just individual rooms but how a whole home or an entire property work in harmony, ensuring seamless transitions and intuitive movement. Our process begins with storytelling to uncover the soul of a space by expressing the natural environment and any historical attributes. We then begin to develop circulation and planning - focusing on how people will move through and interact with a space. Through thoughtful layering of textures, lighting, and furnishings, we craft environments that feel warm, inviting, and effortlessly functional. Every project tells a story, with design elements working in harmony to enhance daily life and leave a lasting impression.
