Labirinto di Bambù Polychrome Painting

While strolling down a bamboo labyrinth in an art park in Tuscany, artist Alice Corbetta got struck by an intense fascination that inspired her this superb painting. Indian gauze was applied on the wood panel together with Armenian bole for recreating the bamboo reeds. Their striking range of green shades obtained with gypsum and pigments seems to bring the bamboo reeds to life, and the use of black renders the bewilderment experienced by the artist.
