Totem Green/Black/Red Marble Coffee Table by Karen Chekerdjian

A free combination of volumes inspired by the ancestral flair of totems is the defining design trait of this coffee table. The table juxtaposes a cylinder in green Imperiale, a cone in black Marquina, and a ring-like top in red Levanto marble. These structural elements are stacked on top of each other to achieve two different compositions according to the arrangement of the cone. Part of a numbered series, the piece's ceramic counterpart exhibited at the Parisian Museum of Decorative Arts.
