Marta tapestry is defined by its dominant weave, interlacing twisted wool and cotton in natural earth tones, striking a delicate balance between strength and lightness. From the full, textured central body flows a soft cascade of fringes and threads, lending the piece an ethereal, weightless presence. For Marilena Terzuolo, weaving is a labor of wisdom and storytelling, each hand-guided motion, repeated endlessly, retraces the threads of people's journeys. Handcrafted on a traditional loom, Marta is a one-of-a-kind piece that required three months of artisanal work.
