Litta Ivory Coffee Table by Raffaella Mangiarotti + Ilkka Suppanen

Delivering a functional countertop surface with a lightweight and minimalist design, Litta is characterized by a unique structural base made of ivory-finished bent steel rods in which the invisible welding joints are handcrafted using a traditional metal-working technique practiced in Mantua since the Renaissance. The round top of 11 mm-thick birch plywood is coated on both sides with scratch-proof, anti-glare, and wax-finished ivory plastic laminate sheet while the rim is left with a matte natural wood finish.
