Your brand stems from adopting the concept of Slow Tech as an intentional approach to producing and processingprized natural materials. Tell us how the idea came to you and how the project evolved.

To answer your question, I shall simply quote my brand’s mission statement: "Creating beauty means contemplating the luxury of time". Raro Milano seeks to bring forth a series of collections of furnishing accessories in collaboration with the up-and-coming and most innovative local designers. These one-of-a-kind pieces come to life thanks to the targeted use of precious stones, always complementing and embracing those who own them. Future collections will include items dedicated to the home spaces, entertainment (with card games), office, and wellness. After launching our brand with the "mini-capsule ENKI Collection" focused on Slow Tech, I’m happy to reveal as a sneak-peak that we will present our first “complete” collection dedicated to home interiors focused on relaxation and hobbies by next spring. The " Quiet Luxury" collection includes a selection of unique design objects in which metallic materials, innovative alloys, and wood inlays coexist with semi-precious stones and elaborate workmanship: this combination gives life to exclusive objects - true and proper jewels of decor.

Enki is your latest precious capsule collection made with an authorial approach and sophistication that aims to bridge the present and techniques of the past. What inspires this new collection?

Actually, the Enki Capsule was the first piece that arose from the idea of creating a unique object with potential daily use that could, at the same time, preserve its intrinsic value attested by a millenary stone skillfully blended with technology.

The use of natural stones represents your connection to tradition and uncommon crafting know-how when confronted with the tech sector. Tell us how one of your chargers is created, from stone selection to final processing.

Our chargers arise in response to the needs of a contemporary society increasingly connected to digital devices that, at the same time, recognizes and appreciates the value of good craftsmanship and fine materials made to last. This is the philosophy behind the Enki induction chargers, inspired by the Sumerian god of water: knowledge, craftsmanship, and creation. The stone is picked following a careful selection process whereby the less pure and less valuable parts are discarded. The stones are then carefully matched according to their color, hue, and intensity to the most suited body (gold, silver, or gunmetal), allowing their intrinsic beauty to stand out.
